Over years of practice I have come to know that mindfulness and meditation as an unbrella term for training the mind in a gentle and generative way.
I define mindfulness and meditation as mental focus in the art and skill of slowing down. By slowing down it is possible to move in the moment - many practitioners call the 'present'. This skill improves awareness and the ability to relax. A relaxed state means we are better equipped to navigate any situation we may encounter. Studies have proven that practicing mindfulness and meditation can have layers of holistic effects on the human body. For me, my practice positively impacts my health and wellbeing, and has had a healing impact on my physical and mental states. I have become more creative, compassionate and am able to live in the world with inner peace and abundant possibilty.
